This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with medical directors and the clinical operations team to oversee and strategize for the medical sector concerning healthcare practitioner operations.
• Manage file organization by consolidating, updating, and maintaining electronic files and documentation, including lab results and referrals.
• Develop and implement a tracking system for lab requisitions to ensure all results and necessary documentation are obtained.
• Review requisitions from the prior month and reach out to labs and patients for any missing test results.
• Serve as the intermediary between pharmacies and healthcare practitioners.
• Schedule, manage, and facilitate audio/video consultations for healthcare practitioners and patients.
• Carry out tasks assigned by the clinical operations manager or medical director.
• Collaborate closely with the customer support team.
• Maintain clinical documentation and revise training materials as needed.
• Address faxes and voicemails from external stakeholders.
• Execute administrative and data entry duties to support lab management processes.
• Assist healthcare practitioners with managing documents and basic editing of medical and insurance forms.
• Engage in Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance initiatives.
• Safeguard personal health information as a designated personal health information delegate.
• Must reside in Canada.
• Must be available to work a fixed schedule from 7am to 3pm EST, five days a week, including weekends, totaling 40 hours per week.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Successful completion of a medical office administration program or comparable education in a related field.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a medical office professional.
• Experience in virtual care is a valuable asset.
• Technical proficiency and the capability to quickly adapt to new software and systems.
• Experience with an EMR system.
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Proficiency in English; bilingualism in French is an advantage.
