This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Leverage the telehealth platform to enhance clinical sleep programs, encompassing PAP instructions, OAT referrals, PAP therapy adherence, and other supported treatments.
• Facilitate participant care through various communication tools with patients, healthcare professionals, and medical equipment staff.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure an outstanding participant experience and promote a right-the-first-time culture.
• Partner with the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory Therapists, Sleep Technicians, and Medical Assistants to create, uphold, and implement medical protocols for the SleepCharge telehealth program.
• Manage an ongoing patient caseload of medical cases.
• Assist Medical Management colleagues with daily responsibilities as required.
• Cultivate exceptional customer service relationships with both participants and staff.
• Review sleep studies via phone or internet for PAP patients.
• Address compliance issues by escalating them to the appropriate level of care.
• Respond to participant and personnel inquiries within set time frames and according to policy.
• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by Medical Management leadership.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or an equivalent level of education.
• 2+ years of experience in sleep is strongly preferred if the above qualifications are not satisfied.
• Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills.
• High level of professionalism and capability to interact with employees at all levels.
• Proven team player.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Experience providing telehealth care via phone or video conferencing technology.
• Background in a clinical healthcare environment.
• Experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and physicians.
• Experience in sleep, neurology, or pulmonary medicine is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with pharmaceuticals utilized in sleep medicine is advantageous.
• Knowledge of operating and maintaining a PAP device, including pressure adjustments, PAP equipment, and sleep-related durable medical equipment supplies.
