Medical Information Specialist – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure exceptional quality standards for all client programs while following program scripts and guidelines.

• Accurately gather essential information and input it into designated program databases.

• Document and/or manage Medical Information Requests, Adverse Events, and Product Quality Complaints in accordance with Inizio, client, and federal regulations and guidelines.

• Manage interactions across all contact channels, including phone and email.

• Fulfill literature requests for customers.

• Demonstrate strong communication and tele-management skills.

• Engage with callers with empathy and enhance their understanding of medical terminology.

• Work on multiple projects at the same time.

• Comply with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Carry out administrative and non-telecommunication tasks as required.

• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Capability to lead and mentor others.

• Outstanding verbal, written, and listening communication abilities.

• Proficiency in using a computer keyboard and mouse.

• A friendly telephone demeanor.

• Ability to attend frequent meetings and calls without interruptions or disconnections.

• Skillful in reviewing intake documents thoroughly and entering data into databases with minimal errors.

• Familiarity with Word and Excel applications.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Aptitude for multitasking and managing several projects concurrently, along with effective time management skills.

• Must ensure patient privacy and confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
