Medical Facility Surveyor – Acute and Continuing Care Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct surveys at hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, and home health and hospice facilities.

• Execute surveys in line with the State Operations Manual (SOM).

• Compile deficiency reports following the Principles of Documentation (PoD) and the HMS Master Writing Guide.

• Relay survey results through the approved Quality Assurance process.

• Recognize potential areas for enhancement within the survey process.

• Communicate identified improvement opportunities to the relevant leadership personnel.

• Accept survey assignments as required and as directed by CMS and HMS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience conducting CMS surveys is mandatory.

• Completion of required CMS training for applicable provider types.

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential.

• Capability to perform all necessary tasks as required by the facility.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.

• A current RN License is mandatory.

• Travel is a requirement for this position.

• Extensive travel may be necessary.

• Relocation is not required.
