Medical Facility Surveyor – Acute and Continuing Care Programs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct assessments of hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals, home health, and hospice facilities.

• Execute surveys in alignment with the State Operations Manual (SOM).

• Generate deficiency reports following the Principles of Documentation (PoD) and the HMS Master Writing Guide.

• Relay survey results through the established Quality Assurance process.

• Recognize areas for enhancing the survey process.

• Relay improvement suggestions to the relevant leadership personnel.

• Accept survey assignments as necessary and as instructed by CMS and HMS.

• Engage in extensive travel to assess facilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in conducting CMS surveys is mandatory.

• Completion of required CMS training for various provider types.

• Capacity for critical thinking and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Competence to carry out all tasks mandated by the facility.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• A current RN License is mandatory.

• Willingness to undertake extensive travel.

• Openness to accept survey assignments as necessary and as directed by CMS and HMS.
