Medical Education Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and execute a thorough medical education strategy centered on lymphedema, lipedema, chronic venous insufficiency, wound management, and compression therapy.

• Detect clinical knowledge gaps and emerging educational requirements among healthcare professionals.

• Align educational programs with organizational goals, clinical evidence, and advancing standards of care.

• Facilitate product lifecycle management and new product launches through strategic educational planning and execution.

• Create and uphold scientifically accurate educational materials, presentations, clinical guides, case studies, webinars, and digital learning resources.

• Convert clinical research and evidence into actionable educational tools for healthcare providers.

• Ensure educational content adheres to current clinical guidelines, consensus statements, and best practices.

• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to craft training materials for both internal and external audiences.

• Lead educational programs for lymphedema therapists, physical and occupational therapists, wound care specialists, vascular providers, dermatologists, oncology rehabilitation professionals, nurses, advanced practice providers, and DME providers.

• Oversee workshops, clinical training initiatives, symposiums, webinars, and conference educational activities.

• Support continuing education initiatives and partnerships with professional organizations.

• Build and maintain relationships with clinical experts and key opinion leaders.

• Identify and cultivate faculty for speaker programs, educational events, and advisory boards.

• Facilitate scientific discussions and gather clinical insights.

• Monitor and communicate new clinical evidence, treatment guidelines, and industry trends.

• Assist in publication planning, congress activities, and the distribution of scientific data.

• Provide scientific and clinical expertise for educational and training programs.

• Aid in interpreting and communicating clinical outcomes data related to compression therapy.

• Establish metrics to assess program effectiveness and learner outcomes.

• Analyze participant feedback and educational impact, making recommendations for enhancements.

• Maintain precise reporting and tracking of essential business metrics.

• Ensure accountability towards global, national, and regional objectives.

• Promote continuous improvement in processes and execution.

• Communicate developments, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team atmosphere.

• Ensure adherence to SIGVARIS policies, FDA, ISO 13485 standards, and applicable laws and regulations; uphold the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant clinical field is required, along with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in medical education, clinical education, medical affairs, rehabilitation, vascular care, wound care, or compression therapy.

• Advanced degrees (MS/PhD/MD) are preferred.

• Proven experience working directly with healthcare professionals in lymphedema, oedema management, wound care, oncology rehabilitation, or vascular specialties.

• Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering clinical education programs.

• Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.

• Proven track record of engaging KOLs and professional clinical organizations is preferred.

• Proficient in relevant software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, AI resources, and Virtual Learning platforms.

• Knowledge of business principles and practices is preferred but not essential.

• Willingness to travel within the region 40-60% based on home location proximity to business needs.

• In-depth understanding of lymphedema pathophysiology and treatment, Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), compression garment therapy, venous and lymphatic disorders, lipedema management, and wound care and edema management.

• Exceptional scientific presentation and communication skills.

• Ability to interpret and convey clinical evidence effectively.

• Excellent project management and organizational capabilities.

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with adult learning principles and educational program design.

• Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Ability to meet physical demands, including sitting/standing for extended periods; walking, using hands, reaching, bending, lifting, or climbing; and meeting required vision abilities.

• Successful completion of a background check, including MVR, verifiable education and employment, and a drug test is required prior to hire.
