Medical Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver medical editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking for both digital and print pharmaceutical marketing materials.

• Revise and assess internal and external presentations as well as corporate communications.

• Guarantee editorial consistency and adherence to FDA regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

• Take ownership of the editorial process for designated brands.

• Act as the primary editorial voice for assigned brands.

• Complete editing, claim verification, and submission tasks for a variety of clients and brands.

• Develop, maintain, and communicate brand style guidelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Keep informed about industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in the development and execution of editorial best practices.

• Show dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion through ongoing development and inclusive behaviors.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of current AMA style.

• Experience with medical, regulatory, or legal reviews is preferred.

• Familiarity with FDA guidelines for drug promotion is preferred.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• Ability to conduct literature searches and comprehend journal articles and medically-related literature.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Professional.

• Skilled in Microsoft Word.

• Experienced with Microsoft PowerPoint.

• Highly detail-oriented, meticulous, and precise.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven track record of managing rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in high-pressure environments.

• Digitally proficient.
