Medical Economics Analyst Intern, Undergraduate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in evaluating healthcare vendor performance, cost, savings, and return-on-investment analyses.

• Utilize SQL to extract claims and member data, and preprocess large datasets for analytical purposes.

• Analyze data using Excel and either build or maintain Power BI dashboards.

• Develop visualizations, presentations, and summaries that communicate findings to business stakeholders.

• Acquire knowledge of processes and functions within the Managed Care sector.

• Contribute to business-supporting projects and leverage academic expertise.

• Investigate legal, regulatory, and other relevant topics within the functional area and industry.

• Participate in training and development sessions.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without needing employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college for the duration of the internship.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Preferably pursuing a degree related to the hiring department, such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.

• Must possess experience with SQL and Excel.

• Experience with Power BI is a plus.

• Must be available for a summer 2027 internship.
