Medical Economics Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Examine healthcare claims, utilization, authorizations, membership, provider, and financial data.

• Detect cost and utilization patterns.

• Assess performance metrics.

• Facilitate data-driven business decisions.

• Create both regular and one-time analytical reports.

• Verify data accuracy and methodologies.

• Convert intricate findings into straightforward recommendations for clinical, network, finance, operations, and executive stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL at an intermediate to advanced level.

• Proven experience in managing large, intricate datasets.

• Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities, including proficiency in pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data validation, and financial or analytical modeling.

• Familiarity with healthcare claims, medical terminology, coding principles, reimbursement methods, utilization metrics, and healthcare cost factors.

• Competent in calculating and interpreting PMPM, utilization rates, unit costs, trends, variances, return on investment, and other healthcare performance indicators.

• Excellent analytical judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.

• Dedication to maintaining data accuracy.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to both analytical and non-technical audiences.
