Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the scientific team responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of strategic publication initiatives.

• Direct and manage accounts to ensure the production of high-quality, precise medical and scientific content.

• Increase management duties in line with team expansion.

• Cultivate and enhance publication efforts in collaboration with scientific teams, client services, and managing directors.

• Identify and formulate strategic and tactical business recommendations.

• Lead, develop, and facilitate essential strategy workshops.

• Convey scientific and therapeutic insights specifically in oncology.

• Promote innovation and teamwork throughout ApotheCom.

• Provide strategic oversight for accounts and assist in business development efforts.

• Mentor and supervise team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with over 10 years of pertinent experience in medical communications.

• Comprehensive knowledge of publication work related to oncology.

• Proven track record of effective scientific leadership across multiple clients and therapeutic areas.

• Experience with US product launches is mandatory; global experience is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in managing staff or direct reports, possibly across various locations.

• Candidates must reside in the United States, with a preference for the East Coast.
