Assistant Regional Director – Clinical Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, execute, and assess clinical programs that comply with professional nursing standards and regulatory guidelines.

• Assist facilities in adhering to State and Federal Medicare/Medicaid regulatory standards.

• Spearhead infection prevention and disease control initiatives, including managing outbreaks and overseeing immunization programs.

• Advise Directors of Nursing (DONs) and Administrators on Plans of Correction and Allegations of Compliance following surveys.

• Facilitate regional training sessions for Directors of Nursing, MDS teams, and interdisciplinary leadership.

• Assess staffing frameworks, nursing patient per day (PPD), and clinical workflows to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

• Supervise MDS coordinators, conduct RAC audits, and lead 5-Star quality improvement initiatives.

• Chair monthly Regional DON and MDS meetings focusing on compliance and performance metrics.

• Aid in risk management, policy formulation, and clinical documentation assessments.

• Assume the role of Interim Director of Nursing as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.

• Must possess an active California RN license in good standing.

• Significant clinical leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.

• Experience in regional or multi-site management is preferred.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in CMS/OIG surveys, risk management, and infection prevention.

• MDS certification is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) is preferred.

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.

• Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
