This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +21 more states.
• Act as a senior clinical leader and expert in addiction medicine.
• Enhance clinical quality, uniformity, and patient safety within Boulder’s virtual care framework.
• Review and improve clinical protocols, formulary standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Assist in quality assurance, chart evaluations, and clinical audits.
• Provide guidance on intricate clinical cases and emerging clinical challenges.
• Align clinical standards with evidence, regulations, and payer expectations.
• Mentor, coach, and assist clinical leaders and practitioners.
• Contribute to the education, onboarding, and professional development programs for clinicians.
• Convert quality insights and emerging evidence into scalable workflows and care standards.
• Identify gaps in processes, policies, and infrastructure, implementing cross-functional solutions.
• Promote the adoption of workflows, protocols, and care models across a distributed workforce.
• Evaluate and support new service lines and care models.
• Assess clinical readiness, staffing, protocols, and quality implications for new initiatives.
• Establish governance, quality standards, and outcome measurements for new services.
• Serve as a clinical liaison to Product, Operations, Analytics, and other teams.
• Translate clinical priorities into product requirements and operational processes.
• Advise on care technology, decision-support tools, AI-enabled workflows, and platform improvements.
• Report to the SVP & Head of Medical Affairs while collaborating with the VP of Clinical Care and Clinical Services leadership.
• Board Certification in Addiction Medicine with an active medical license in good standing.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in treating patients with substance use disorders.
• Proven experience leading clinicians, clinical programs, or multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Experience in building or scaling clinical programs, quality initiatives, care delivery models, or healthcare teams in a growing organization.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing clinical protocols, workflows, and evidence-based standards across multiple clinicians or sites.
• Proven success in leading change and encouraging the adoption of new clinical practices or operational processes.
• Experience utilizing data and quality metrics to enhance clinical performance.
• Outstanding communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capability to influence across functions and lead through collaboration.
• Must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, or Wyoming.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
• A dedicated private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet connection is required.
• Preferred: experience in telehealth, digital health, or technology-enhanced care delivery.
• Preferred: experience working with Medicaid and other publicly insured populations.
• Preferred: experience collaborating with Product, Operations, Analytics, or Engineering teams.
• Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled clinical workflows, clinical decision support tools, or innovations in healthcare technology.
• Preferred: experience in developing clinical leaders.
• Preferred: multi-state clinical leadership experience.
