This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with patients through both incoming and outgoing phone communications.
• Offer informed responses to inquiries related to medical billing and accounts.
• Comprehend and comply with regulatory areas, policies, and procedures, including HIPAA guidelines.
• Deliver outstanding customer service along with prompt answers to questions and issues regarding benefits, billing, claims, payments, and more.
• Examine and interpret insurance Explanation of Benefits to ascertain patient responsibility, adjustments, and write-offs.
• Clarify charges, respond to inquiries, and convey requirements, policies, and procedures related to patient financial care services and resources.
• Address patient inquiries regarding healthcare billing statements and/or collect overdue balances.
• Exceptional organization, customer service, and communication abilities.
• Moderate proficiency in computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite Tools.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, sound judgment, keen attention to detail, and effective follow-through.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and operate within various systems simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a patient contact center (call center) environment.
• Preferred: Knowledge of medical billing and/or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting (1 year).
