Medical Consultant – Czech Republic, Slovakia

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephone consultations for veterinary professionals during standard business hours.

• Provide guidance on the selection of diagnostic tests, interpretation of laboratory results, and management of medical cases.

• Discuss IDEXX diagnostic products, which includes test availability, specimen requirements, clinical utility, and result interpretation.

• Enhance and maintain medical expertise through self-directed education, scientific conferences, internal training, and literature reviews.

• Create articles for newsletters and draft or assess updates on laboratory diagnostics or services.

• Develop other marketing, sales, or promotional materials as needed.

• Engage in IDEXX educational and organizational meetings as necessary.

• Collaborate with Customer Support, commercial, and laboratory teams to provide accurate, practical, and clinically relevant diagnostic solutions.

• Offer support to customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with the possibility of additional assistance in English or German.

⛳️ Requirements

• A veterinary degree with the authority to practice.

• Significant hands-on experience in Small Animal Internal Medicine for applicants who are seasoned clinicians.

• Board certification by ECVIM or ACVIM is preferred, or additional qualifications or equivalent experience that ideally support clinical expertise.

• Proficiency in Czech and/or Slovak and English; knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus.

• A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical reasoning abilities.

• Practical thinking skills and a high level of resilience.

• Proficiency in computer usage.

• A dependable, high-speed internet connection with at least 100 Mb/s download and 30 Mb/s upload speeds.

• Capability to work on a computer for prolonged periods.

• Willingness to work from a home office and travel occasionally as required.
