Medical Billing Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of client systems and effectively impart this knowledge to team members.

• Oversee the assigned team to guarantee the timely and precise submission of deliverables.

• Mentor team members and enhance their skill sets.

• Support the Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager in guiding the team towards achieving the company's objectives.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Resolve conflicts that may arise within the team.

• Generate accurate medical insurance claims and ensure they are submitted punctually.

• Address claim denials through resubmissions or appeals.

• Develop and implement strategies to minimize claim denials.

• Familiarize yourself with and apply specialty, state, and carrier-specific billing requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate of any allied medical course (Nursing, PT, MedTech, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in medical billing, ideally with US healthcare accounts.

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a medical billing team is an advantage.

• In-depth knowledge of medical insurance claims processing, including submissions, denials, and appeals.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving claim denials and applying strategies to reduce them.

• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and managing teams.

• Capability to monitor team performance and ensure the timely and accurate submission of deliverables.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Outstanding communication and coordination skills.

• Must be able to work from home with reliable internet access and a backup connection.
