Medical Billing Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of new client systems and effectively impart this knowledge to team members.

• Oversee the assigned team, ensuring deliverables are submitted accurately and on schedule.

• Mentor team members and enhance their professional skills.

• Support the Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager in guiding the team towards achieving company objectives.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Resolve conflicts that arise within the team.

• Generate precise medical insurance claims and guarantee their timely submission.

• Address claim denials through resubmission or appeal processes.

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of claim denials.

• Familiarize and apply specialty-, state-, and carrier-specific billing requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate of any allied medical course (Nursing, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.

• A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in medical billing, ideally with US healthcare accounts.

• Leadership or supervisory experience in a medical billing team is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical insurance claims processing, including submissions, denials, and appeals.

• Proven experience in analyzing and resolving claim denials as well as implementing strategies to minimize them.

• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and team management.

• Ability to monitor team performance and ensure the timely and accurate submission of deliverables.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and coordination skills.

• Must be able to work from home with a reliable internet connection and a backup option.
