Medical Billing Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of new client systems and proficiently share this knowledge with team members.

• Lead the assigned team, ensuring that deliverables are submitted accurately and on time.

• Mentor team members and enhance their professional development.

• Support the Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager in guiding the team towards achieving company objectives.

• Guarantee adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Resolve conflicts that arise within the team.

• Prepare precise medical insurance claims and ensure they are submitted promptly.

• Address claim denials by resubmitting or appealing as necessary.

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce claim denials.

• Understand and apply billing requirements that are specific to specialties, states, and carriers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate of any allied medical course (such as Nursing, PT, MedTech, etc.) is preferred but not mandatory.

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in medical billing, ideally with US healthcare accounts.

• Preferred leadership or supervisory experience in a medical billing team.

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical insurance claims processing, including submissions, denials, and appeals.

• Proven experience in analyzing and resolving claim denials and formulating strategies to minimize them.

• Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and managing a team.

• Capability to monitor team performance, ensuring timely and accurate deliverable submissions.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

• Outstanding communication and coordination abilities.

• Must be able to work from home with a reliable internet connection and an alternative backup connection.
