Medical Billing Specialist – AR, Charge Entry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Address all aging claims from Work Queues or Aging reports.

• Conduct daily billing and follow-up tasks within the revenue operations.

• Identify trends or issues and present them to the supervisor while collaborating on enhancements.

• Resolve denials or inquiries from both patients and insurance companies.

• Assist with patient inquiries and calls.

• Adhere to team and company policies.

• Fulfill productivity standards and attendance expectations.

• Draft clear and concise appeal letters.

• Comply with BASS company policies, procedures, and workflow.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Medical Billing—AR and Charge Entry experience in the US Healthcare Sector.

• Specific experience in Oncology and Infusion Services.

• Familiarity with EPIC software.

• Understanding of EOBs, copays, deductibles, various insurance plans, secondary insurances, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and contract adjustments.

• Knowledge of modifiers, diagnosis, and CPT codes.

• Awareness of payers’ policies and regulations.

• Excellent phone communication abilities with providers, carriers, patients, and colleagues.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in modifiers, insurance plans, and follow-up techniques.

• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

• Basic typing skills of 40+ words per minute.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Positive demeanor.

• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and workflows.

• Capability to meet productivity benchmarks and attendance standards.

• Willingness to complete a 6-month probationary period.
