Medical Billing Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute precise, comprehensive, and meticulous medical billing processes.

• Engage with insurance providers, clinics, patients, and team members as necessary.

• Keep up-to-date with accurate and legal billing practices for payers.

• Take part in daily revenue cycle management activities and oversee the accurate and timely fulfillment of team responsibilities.

• Stay informed on RCM processes, National SOPs, and policies.

• Leverage available job aids, websites, programs, and resources effectively.

• Assist leadership with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements.

• Achieve departmental productivity targets while upholding quality standards.

• Recognize and report system access issues, payer behaviors, account workflows, and other RCM-related challenges to the Team Lead or Supervisor.

• Carry out additional duties as required.

• Work collaboratively with patients and office team members to ensure thorough and accurate billing practices.

• Operate independently while fulfilling the needs of a national organization in a virtual team setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of experience in medical facility or medical office billing is required.

• Capability to work both collaboratively in a team setting and independently.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

• Familiarity with automated billing systems is preferred.

• Understanding of complete revenue cycle processes involving insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.

• Exceptional attention to detail is essential.

• Experience working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and various cultural aspects.

• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, talk, hear, and walk.

• Capacity to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Required to have close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
