Medical Biller/AR Specialist – Dermatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits

• Address rejected, denied, or underpaid claims: identify root causes, correct coding mistakes, appeal when necessary, and prevent future occurrences

• Oversee aging reports, monitor outstanding balances, and reconcile accounts receivable

• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances

• Professionally handle inquiries related to patient billing

• Collaborate with providers to enhance documentation accuracy

• Maintain organized and confidential billing records

• Keep track of payer changes and stay updated on coding revisions

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in dermatology billing/accounts receivable. This is a mid-level to senior role.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, DRG, CPT, and modifiers

• Proficient in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems

• Demonstrates ownership and independence, while being a collaborative team member

• Effective and professional communication skills with providers, payers, and patients
