Medicaid Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Utilize established protocols to deliver outstanding customer service and support.

• Ensure the accuracy of customer accounts in compliance with state and payer Medicaid regulations.

• Investigate accounts and rectify potential discrepancies by auditing data from phone calls, emails, and tickets.

• Execute assigned tasks such as move-ins, Medicaid conversions, charge maintenance, and changes to agreements and billing parties in accordance with state Managed Care Organization guidelines.

• Collaborate with communities to amend accounts prior to monthly resident invoicing.

• Update resident accounts following state and MCO rate adjustments.

• Oversee and allocate work tickets via the internal system, mail, and external faxes.

• Assess and identify opportunities for process enhancements that positively affect performance and customer experience.

• Carry out other responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• At least one year of customer service experience is essential.

• Experience in a healthcare office setting is preferred.

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.) is necessary.

• Strong communication and customer service capabilities are essential.

• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills are required.

• Ability to manage a high volume of details and tasks is crucial.

• Basic technical skills to perform repetitive and clearly defined tasks are necessary.

• Capability to follow written or verbal instructions is required.

• No certifications, licenses, or additional special requirements are necessary.

• Candidates must reside within 2.5 hours of the Greater Milwaukee, WI area.
