This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead the execution of project-level initiatives or significant workstreams within MES programs, focusing on planning, implementation, and oversight of scope, timeline, and deliverables.
β’ Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects or workstreams, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with client stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and internal teams to facilitate effective execution in environments with multiple stakeholders.
β’ Assist in vendor oversight activities, including monitoring performance, risks, and deliverables to meet program expectations.
β’ Identify, manage, and communicate project-level risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as necessary.
β’ Operate within established program governance frameworks (e.g., PMO/PgMO), ensuring compliance with reporting, documentation, and decision-making processes.
β’ Contribute to the creation of MES deliverables such as APDs, ConOps, roadmaps, RFPs, and federal reporting artifacts, with responsibility for specific sections or components.
β’ Utilize knowledge of Medicaid systems and operations (e.g., eligibility, claims, provider management) to guide project execution and problem-solving efforts.
β’ Support system integration and interoperability initiatives, including coordination among MES modules and related HHS systems.
β’ Manage and mentor project team members, assisting with task execution, quality assurance, and professional development.
β’ Participate in business development efforts, including contributions to proposals and identification of opportunities, as necessary.
β’ 6-8+ years of experience in Medicaid, Health and Human Services (HHS), or public sector consulting.
β’ Proven track record of leading projects or major workstreams within Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) initiatives.
β’ Experience operating within a consulting services delivery model, encompassing project management, vendor coordination, and client engagement.
β’ Demonstrated ability to manage execution in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including interaction with vendors, system integrators, and government entities.
β’ Experience in vendor performance management and tracking delivery outcomes.
β’ Skilled in engaging with client stakeholders, with the ability to communicate effectively and support informed decision-making.
β’ Familiarity with structured project or program governance frameworks (e.g., PMO or PgMO).
β’ Proven ability to lead project teams, including mentoring, coaching, and coordinating work among team members.
β’ Strong knowledge of Medicaid systems (e.g., MMIS, Eligibility and Enrollment) and/or HHS IT solutions.
β’ Project Management Professional certification or equivalent experience.
β’ Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with defined scopes and timelines.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Proficient with Microsoft tools (e.g., Office, SharePoint).
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience.
