Mechanical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the development of mechanical components from the initial idea through to mass production, creating high-fidelity CAD models, detailed drawings, and exhaustive BOMs.

• Work closely with Electrical, Firmware, and Optical engineers to guarantee seamless integration and optimal design performance across various hardware elements.

• Oversee mechanical validation tests, including fit, stress, and thermal analysis, while supporting design verification through iterative prototyping and laboratory testing.

• Leverage expert knowledge in DFM/DFA to enhance designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.

• Conduct thorough design reviews, risk assessments, and FMEAs, while managing all engineering documentation and tolerance stack-up analysis.

• Directly coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and schedule milestones.

• Deliver critical field support and drive iterative design enhancements to uphold product excellence throughout its lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical design, particularly within consumer electronics, IoT devices, or products with diverse IP ratings.

• Expertise in CAD and CAE tools, especially SolidWorks or PTC Creo.

• Proven history of designing plastic components for injection molding and selecting materials based on intricate design specifications.

• Extensive technical knowledge of mechanical design principles and GD&T in accordance with ISO or ASME standards.

• Proficient in conducting detailed tolerance stack-up analysis and utilizing laboratory tools for hardware validation.

• Strong work ethic and an ownership mentality, coupled with the capacity to effectively communicate technical risks to stakeholders.

• At least an Intermediate proficiency in both written and spoken English (B1).
