Mechanical Engineering Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop sophisticated mechanical engineering challenges for the training and assessment of frontier AI.

• Generate deterministic problems that yield a single correct solution.

• Compose thorough, verified solutions and clearly articulate the reasoning behind them.

• Create problems that evaluate engineering analysis and multi-step reasoning skills instead of rote memorization.

• Collaborate across various domains including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics, and mechanical systems.

• Utilize Python, MATLAB, CAD/CAE tools, or specialized engineering software to validate solutions as needed.

• Guarantee that all outputs are technically accurate, reproducible, and proficiently written in English.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Robust research or industry experience related to mechanical systems, engineering analysis, simulations, or mathematical modeling.

• Strong quantitative abilities and adept problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with numerical methods and computational engineering techniques.

• Capability to devise original and challenging problems that reflect authentic mechanical engineering processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and technical writing proficiency in English.

• Experience with MATLAB, Python, ANSYS, Abaqus, SolidWorks, COMSOL, or comparable tools (preferred).

• Knowledge of finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, optimization, or simulations (preferred).

• Experience in designing technical assessments, evaluating model reasoning, or creating engineering educational materials (preferred).
