This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and direct a team of System Design Engineers and System Designers.
• Coordinate project assignments, allocate workloads, and facilitate staff training.
• Assess performance, conduct reviews, establish professional development objectives, and recommend promotions and recognitions.
• Develop, modify, review, and proof components of design and engineering drawing packages.
• Engage in technical architectural design and coordination related to door hardware, device mounting, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, structured cabling, and network/telecom infrastructure.
• Present calculations and offer recommendations regarding architectural specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on contractor submittals.
• Execute technical studies including cable distance, voltage drop, cable fill, conduit sizing, power, heat loading, equipment test fits, camera angles, pixels on target, bandwidth, storage, IDF loading, and cost estimation.
• Create, manage, and uphold engineering standards, workflows, tools, and documentation formats.
• Ensure staff training and competency levels are maintained.
• Develop career paths and support career advancement.
• Monitor project performance, commitments, deliverables, assignments, workload distribution, and quality control.
• Guide and mentor design staff while promoting collaboration.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager from design phase through project closeout.
• Investigate existing and emerging technologies, products, and platforms.
• Provide advice on project technical issues and solutions with ZBeta LabZ.
• Research and resolve client and project issues pertaining to applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security system design and/or security technology.
• At least 2 years of experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD is required.
• Team management experience is preferred.
• Associate degree, Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Electrical Design, or equivalent work experience.
• Required proficiency in Lenel security system hardware and programming.
• Familiarity with Genetec, C•CURE, and other security system hardware and programming is advantageous.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and Navisworks.
• Required proficiency in computer-aided design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Exceptionally organized with a keen attention to detail and quality of work.
• Technical aptitude and proficiency with software applications are essential.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and present design information effectively to clients.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday, from 7 am–4 pm or 8 am–5 pm, with potential extended hours in the local time zone.
• A quiet, designated workspace and high-speed internet (minimum 200 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload) are required.

• Verification of U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Successful completion of a background check is required upon hire and every two years thereafter.
