This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist in expanding the Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation Solution offerings by creating, designing, and securing new business opportunities.
β’ Craft solutions that provide financial benefits to clients while aligning with their requirements and Ryder's operational and technical capabilities.
β’ Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses to formulate practical and sustainable designs.
β’ Collaborate with pursuit teams to shape win-plans and engage throughout the pursuit process from initiation to successful startup transition.
β’ Analyze RFP documents, grasp objectives, pinpoint gaps, formulate clarifying questions, and develop hypotheses for solution design.
β’ Validate, cleanse, and profile data; establish baselines and outline modeling scenarios.
β’ Assess labor, equipment, facility, and expense needs based on transportation and warehousing assumptions.
β’ Create process flows, operational concepts, value propositions, system concepts, cost models, pricing models, and underlying assumptions.
β’ Formulate optimization scenarios and strategies in line with objectives.
β’ Regularly meet with clients and cross-functional bid-response teams.
β’ Assist in technical review presentations and design-validation meetings.
β’ Follow through on implementation by verifying and adjusting deployed processes to align with the plan.
β’ Enhance and develop engineering tools and methodologies based on industry best practices.
β’ Lead consulting projects by identifying customer challenges and devising and presenting effective solutions.
β’ Oversee or mentor a small team of Solutions Design Engineers.
β’ Compose and present persuasive proposals that sway customer decisions in favor of Ryder.
β’ Facilitate the transition of awarded business through startup and design proposal assumptions to Operations and SCE CI resources.
β’ Simio experience is REQUIRED.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering is mandatory.
β’ A minimum of six (6) years of experience in the Transportation industry is required.
β’ A minimum of six (6) years of experience in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry is required.
β’ Exceptional skills in data organization and cleansing are essential.
β’ Advanced proficiency in utilizing design applications, tools, techniques, and methodologies to analyze and create complex transportation and warehousing networks is necessary.
β’ Familiarity with simulation tools, transportation and warehouse management systems, ERPs, automation, MHE, visibility tools, and leading industry technologies is preferred.
β’ Ability to influence project teams using factual data, statistics, and analytics.
β’ Capability to understand complex supply chain and transportation solutions and break down design processes into manageable components and steps.
β’ Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are critical.
β’ Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels.
β’ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
β’ Intermediate knowledge of visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft) and database programming is preferred.
β’ Advanced understanding of effective metrics programs and sustainable, measurable network design is required.
β’ Extensive knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks is necessary.
β’ Thorough understanding of various equipment types, including dry van, temperature control, flatbed, and specialized equipment is required.
β’ Expert knowledge of transportation design tools, including JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, JDA, OTM, and Tableau.
β’ Extensive insight into warehouse management operations, data analytics, industrial engineering, warehouse types, layout/design, and Lean methods.
β’ Required knowledge of material handling and automation solutions, including PIT applications, racking, storage solutions, packaging equipment, conveyor and sortation equipment, and AS/RS.
β’ Expert knowledge of warehouse design tools and systems, including CAD/AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, simulation software, Manhattan Scale, Labor Management Systems, Llamasoft, and Tableau.
