This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Perform mechanical installation tasks for rotating machinery, including pumps, blowers, fans, compressors, control valves, and associated equipment.
• Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, and alignments of pumps and various mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with construction leads, commissioning engineers, site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Lead mechanical construction teams and supervisors to achieve project objectives.
• Review assembly documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, inspection and test plans, and programs.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of rotating machines, turbine shaft lines, and mechanical systems.
• Enforce environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, directives, work permits, and safety protocols.
• Supervise daily operations, training, scheduling, and workforce productivity.
• Prepare and communicate site job briefs and work sequences to teams.
• Execute shaft/rotor alignment and maintain ITPL records accurately.
• Conduct walkdowns, visual inspections, and document any malfunctions, faults, leaks, or unusual noises.
• Assist commissioning activities by providing cleaning, inspections, tools, spare parts, and troubleshooting during synchronization.
• Maintain thorough records, action lists, equipment documentation, timesheets, inventory, and work orders.
• Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, consumables, lifting and rigging to minimize waste and damage.
• Ensure quality, compliance with QA/QC standards, manage non-conformities, NCRs, and adherence to statutory/site instructions.
• Allocate manpower and deliver on-the-job training to team members.
• Compile regular field reports and contribute to the successful completion of projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10-12 years of overall professional experience.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in executing Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) or power projects for power plants.
• Management experience with medium-sized, multi-cultural technical teams is preferred.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical erection and commissioning is advantageous.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting specifications, drawings, and relevant project and engineering documents.
• Familiarity with the power plant KKS system is a plus.
• Must possess experience in lifting and rigging operations.
• Knowledge of company safety and QA/QC procedures is essential.
• Capability to utilize and instruct the team on precise measurement tools.
• Understanding of preservation techniques for rotating machinery during the erection and assembly stages.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to delegate, control, and take responsibility.
