This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of a significant commercial project linked to a key business priority in Marketing, Value & Access, Sales, Patient Access & Reimbursement, or similar commercial functions.
• Collaborate with brand teams and cross-functional stakeholders to develop project expertise.
• Evaluate business challenges, generate insights, and provide clear recommendations to internal partners and leaders.
• Understand how Amgen makes decisions across various customers, markets, products, and patient needs.
• Connect with Global Markets & Policy leaders through networking, mentorship, and program experiences.
• Engage in development sessions, networking events, and social activities.
• Present final recommendations and reflect on learning, growth, and potential fit for the full-time Commercial Leadership Program.
• Collaborate with a project manager, executive mentor, CLP peer buddy, and the wider CLP community.
• Achieve project outcomes while showcasing leadership potential, commercial acumen, learning agility, collaboration, communication, and readiness for future advancement.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university after the internship program.
• Must reside in the United States throughout the internship program.
• Availability for a full-time work schedule is required.
• Enrollment in a full-time MBA program at an accredited college or university is necessary.
• Completion of the first year of the MBA prior to the commencement of the internship is required.
• Must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if extended.
• Candidates must be 18 years or older.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• A minimum of three years of work experience is preferred.
• Experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry is preferred.
• Sales and/or marketing experience is preferred.
• International work experience is preferred.
• Consulting experience is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with all management levels.
• Capability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
• Ability to operate independently across functional lines and engage with internal and external customers and/or stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, quantitative, organizational, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to deliver results within tight timelines and amid competing priorities.
• Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Capability to manage ambiguity effectively.
• Openness to coaching and feedback from management and peers.
• A thoughtful cover letter explaining interest in the CLP and alignment with Amgen’s mission and commercial leadership objectives.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program.
