This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and critique advanced mathematical research papers for accuracy, originality, and rigor.

• Develop and assess challenging research-level mathematics problems designed to train and benchmark AI models.

• Examine AI-generated proofs, derivations, formalizations, and problem-solving methods for precision and mathematical validity.

• Detect subtle logical mistakes, overlooked assumptions, invalid proof steps, and reasoning errors that necessitate expert mathematical insight.

• Partner with other subject matter experts to maintain high-quality standards for training data and evaluations.

• Deliver comprehensive written feedback aimed at enhancing AI reasoning and mathematical capabilities.

• First-author or sole-author publications in top mathematics journals such as:

• - Annals of Mathematics

• - Inventiones Mathematicae

• - Journal of the American Mathematical Society

• - Acta Mathematica

• - Duke Mathematical Journal

• - Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics

• - Geometry & Topology

• - Journal of the European Mathematical Society (JEMS)

• - Geometric and Functional Analysis (GAFA)

• - Advances in Mathematics

• - Probability Theory and Related Fields

• Candidates from related fields with publications in prestigious venues such as STOC, FOCS, SODA, or Annals of Statistics are also welcome to apply.

• A PhD or postdoctoral training in Mathematics or a closely related STEM discipline from a globally esteemed institution.

• Recognition through esteemed fellowships, scholarships, or honors, including:

• - Clay Research Fellowship

• - NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

• - NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship

• - Sloan Research Fellowship

• - Packard Fellowship

• - Simons Fellowship or Simons Investigatorship

• - AMS Centennial Fellowship

• - Hertz Fellowship

• - Marshall or Rhodes Scholarship

• - New Horizons in Mathematics Prize

• - Salem Prize

• - Ramanujan Prize

• Candidates in the early stages of their careers may demonstrate exceptional accomplishments through Putnam Fellow recognition or an International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) medal.

• Experience as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on competitive research grants (e.g., NSF CAREER Award or equivalent).

• Current or recent roles as a:

• - PhD candidate

• - Postdoctoral researcher

• - Faculty member

• - Research mathematician

• - Principal researcher

• - Industry research scientist

• Exceptional senior PhD candidates and recent graduates with outstanding publication records are highly encouraged to apply.
