Math Tutor, 6th-8th Grade

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual instruction to small groups of K-12 students throughout the United States.

• Deliver online tutoring in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, with a current emphasis on math for 6th-8th grade teachers.

• Assist in school-partner initiatives, including summer academies and support for remediation.

• Engage in projects lasting approximately fourteen to thirty weeks.

• Dedicate several hours during the week for tutoring sessions.

• Log in early, carry out light preparation, and document session notes as part of the compensation agreement.

• Show interest in and accept available tutoring opportunities after joining the teacher community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a teacher in the United States.

• Background in teaching Mathematics within a classroom setting.

• Experience in an online teaching environment.

• Proficient knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.

• Experience teaching math to students in the 6th-8th grade range.

• Bonus: experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction.

• Bonus: experience in secondary mathematics.

• Bonus: experience teaching students with special education needs (SPED) or English language learners (ELL).

• Bonus: bilingual skills.
