Materials and Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create realistic, domain-specific tasks in materials science or engineering based on previous experience.

• Develop data rooms and assessment criteria for tasks that can be objectively evaluated.

• Execute tasks using AI models.

• Evaluate the successes and failures of the models.

• Refine tasks until they successfully differentiate model performance.

• Collaborate with project leads and subject matter experts to establish quality benchmarks.

• Engage in daily onboarding sessions and office hours.

• Assist in training and improving advanced AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced expertise in materials science, encompassing metals, ceramics, composites, characterization, or additive manufacturing; or electrical engineering (analog, RF, power); or mechanical engineering (design, CFD and fluids, heat transfer, pressure vessels, NDE, CAE).

• Capable of navigating uncertainty effectively.

• Proficient in articulating the rationale behind incorrect answers, not just identifying the correct ones.

• Must operate as an independent contractor.

• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
