Material, Inventory Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage the planning, procurement, and inventory of service parts and accessories.

• Ensure parts availability for Slate’s end customers, Service Partners, and delivery hub locations.

• Collaborate with the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) team, warehouses/3PL, Purchasing, and suppliers.

• Strategically plan inventory for service parts and accessories to optimize stock levels.

• Oversee supplier purchase orders using the ERP system.

• Expedite and de-expedite purchase orders when necessary.

• Establish safety stock levels for the designated product portfolio.

• Gain an understanding of portfolio needs in collaboration with the SI&OP team.

• Place and monitor purchase orders with suppliers.

• Assess and enhance supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, rounding values, and related purchasing metrics.

• Track parts inventory levels and adjust orders based on actual demand.

• Develop and implement strategies and procedures for effective inventory control at the parts level.

• Cultivate and maintain day-to-day supplier relationships while promoting long-term partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Material Management, Material Analytics, Operations, or a related field is preferred; relevant hands-on experience with a successful track record may be considered as a substitute.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management, preferably in Material Management.

• Strong analytical abilities, with knowledge of both basic and advanced material management processes and practices.

• Proficiency in ERP Systems and Project Management tools.

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and/or data analysis tools such as SmartSheets, Tableau, Alteryx, or other scripting platforms.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Comfortable in start-up environments and capable of developing or recommending tools.

• A proactive “one company” collaborator with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Familiarity with warehousing practices, material management, business planning, and financial considerations.

• Ability to work collaboratively with both external partners and internal teams.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

• Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
