Material Damage Specialist, I/II/Sr

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop detailed estimates of damages for both 1st- and 3rd-party material damage claims.

• Assess the appropriate resolution for claims.

• Analyze regulatory compliance and equitable claims practices.

• Negotiate settlements, execute settlement payments, and document actions in intricate files.

• Apply interpretations of policies across all types written by the company.

• Support leadership with both formal and informal training initiatives.

• Generate damage estimates for material damage losses of varying severities.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external clients.

• Act as a peer mentor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Candidates currently holding an active insurance license must end all existing appointments prior to onboarding.

• Must refrain from holding outside insurance appointments during employment.

• Applicants with a resident producer license must officially surrender that license when directed by the licensing team.

• Proficient in estimating fundamentals.

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and equitable claims practices.

• Capability to interpret all policy types issued by the company.

• Proficient in negotiating settlements and documenting complex claims files.

• Technical knowledge in material damage claims.

• Ability to offer peer mentorship and assist in training sessions.

• Dedicated, distraction-free workspace when working remotely.

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
