Master Data Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Handle requests to establish and modify customer master data records, including Sold-To, Bill-To, and Ship-To accounts.

• Verify necessary data fields against internal standards and naming conventions.

• Ensure precise customer records are maintained in the MDG system and other relevant tools.

• Examine and confirm customer documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.

• Submit and monitor customer master data requests via the MDG system.

• Follow up on outstanding approvals or issues.

• Act as a liaison for Sales concerning customer master data requests, status updates, and account selection for order processing.

• Recognize data quality challenges and assist with data cleansing, standardization, validation, and process enhancement initiatives.

• Aid in testing, validation, and documentation of customer master data processes and associated system modifications.

• Contribute to reliable business operations and efficient order-to-cash workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred experience in master data management, customer setup, order management, sales operations, or order-to-cash support.

• Familiarity with MDG systems, ERP tools, CRM systems, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Capability to learn and navigate MDG, ERP, and related systems, including SAP and CRM platforms.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional teams.

• Competence in managing multiple requests, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, and identifying areas for process improvement.

• Adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

• Successful completion of necessary pre-employment background and security screenings.
