This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Define the vision and long-term roadmap for Marketing Data, ensuring alignment of the team’s objectives with Stripe’s overall growth strategy.
• Act as a leader within Marketing and Data Science, contributing to strategic development and advocating for the role of data in critical company decisions.
• Create a marketing measurement strategy that links marketing expenditures to incremental growth, pipeline, revenue, product adoption, and long-term customer value.
• Direct investment choices across various channels, target audiences, markets, and products.
• Develop models for targeting, propensity, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Finance leadership on forecasting, goal-setting, budget planning, and performance assessment.
• Establish reliable marketing metrics, data sources, and measurement standards.
• Determine the strategic direction for utilizing AI in Marketing to enhance decision-making, campaign implementation, and team efficiency.
• Simplify complex analyses into clear recommendations and influence senior leadership.
• Build and nurture a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and managers.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across Sales, Growth, Product, Finance, and Engineering to achieve common business objectives.
• Over 15 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; 12+ years with a master's degree; or 8+ years with a PhD in a quantitative discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience leading data science or analytics teams, including 3+ years in managerial roles and scaling organizations.
• Proven experience as a senior data leader influencing business strategy and executive decision-making.
• Extensive background in marketing data science, covering measurement, experimentation, causal inference, targeting, attribution, or investment optimization.
• Capacity to establish a long-term data strategy and convert it into a focused roadmap with quantifiable results.
• Demonstrated history of leading complex, cross-functional data projects from vague problem identification to successful implementation.
• Strong statistical background, especially in assessing marketing effectiveness and incremental impact.
• Proficient in SQL and a scientific computing language such as Python or R.
• Skill in translating complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
• Proven track record of fostering alignment across Marketing, Finance, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams.
