This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Provide daily assistance to the Marketing & Communications team, leadership, and various departments.
• Aid in marketing and recruitment initiatives through the creation of marketing materials and plans.
• Act as a liaison to departments, centers, institutes, development, and alumni relations.
• Oversee the peer communications calendar.
• Collect and compose content for both printed and digital marketing materials.
• Offer backup support for social media and website upkeep.
• Design and distribute e-newsletters, announcement emails, display advertisements, and other digital assets.
• Coordinate the flow and distribution of information via email lists, newsletters, conference handouts, and related materials.
• Compile analytics from digital efforts and assist in marketing performance reporting.
• Develop instructional and promotional multimedia content.
• Support school events and collaborate with the school events team.
• Partner with external vendors for graphic design, printing, promotional materials, and marketing automation.
• Provide overall marketing and project management assistance.
• Construct and update bulk and automated marketing emails using Emma.
• Create test lists and evaluate email formatting and dynamic content.
• Facilitate the proofreading of emails.
• Develop banner advertisements in Emma.
• Segment and upload email lists into the Email Service Provider (ESP).
• Generate UTM tracking codes and extract campaign response metrics.
• Assist with establishing email marketing standard operating procedures.
• Identify existing CTY content suitable for marketing emails.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent graduation.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a marketing or communications environment.
• Additional education may be considered in lieu of the required experience under the JHU equivalency formula.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Certifications in social media or project management are preferred.
• Experience in events, media, and public relations is preferred.
• Developing skills in writing, project coordination, email marketing, digital communications, content marketing, campaign management, and branding.
• Design experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics is a plus.
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• The successful candidate must complete a pre-employment background check.
