Market Outreach Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Act as the main outreach liaison for the Midstream Lighting Program.

• Develop and enhance relationships with lighting distributors and trade partners throughout central Kentucky.

• Recruit additional distributors and trade allies to expand the network of active participants.

• Provide training and continuous engagement support to enrolled trade allies.

• Inform trade allies about program advantages and procedures.

• Travel frequently within Kentucky for in-person outreach and visits.

• Conduct market research to pinpoint and prioritize new targets.

• Serve as a communication link among customers, contractors, and program staff to address issues and enhance satisfaction.

• Organize and coordinate events, training sessions, and presentations.

• Monitor outreach activities and progress towards program objectives through regular reporting.

• Work collaboratively with other energy efficiency programs to further shared leads.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in utility, energy efficiency, lighting, and sales/relationship-building positions.

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple relationships and priorities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Comfortable spending approximately 70-80% of time in the field.

• Willingness to travel frequently within Kentucky, primarily for day trips with minimal overnight stays.

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.

• Ability to successfully pass a drug screening and background check.

• Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting to changing priorities.

• Reside in or near Louisville or central Kentucky.

• If applicable, fulfill all DOT qualification criteria and adhere to transportation regulations.

• Must have authorization to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support.
