Market Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver frontline operational assistance across the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Deribit.

• Take ownership of real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications.

• Investigate and address customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology.

• Assist with internal and external investigations related to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution.

• Collaborate with product and development teams to launch new products and execute platform updates.

• Conduct deployment testing in pre-production environments to safeguard production environments.

• Facilitate client and vendor onboarding and ongoing operational enablement across both exchanges, including prediction markets and event contracts listed on CDE.

• Identify, document, and propose operational process enhancements that align with business objectives and support platform growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical discipline.

• Over 1 year of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role.

• Knowledge of products and operations pertaining to listed futures or options.

• Practical experience with error trade analysis and resolution.

• Capability to diagnose and explain complex technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in providing multi-channel support (voice, email, chat).

• Ability to maintain high-quality performance in fast-paced, high-volume, time-sensitive situations.

• Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, network protocols, SQL, or CRM tools like Salesforce and JIRA is advantageous.

• Responsible usage of generative AI with human oversight.
