Market Development Manager – Biopharma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +7 more locations.

📋 Description

• Act as a scientific and market thought leader for biopharma clients.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to gain insights into workflows, challenges, and emerging trends in discovery and translational research.

• Develop and execute the biopharma market development strategy.

• Convert complex scientific applications into clear, scalable use cases that meet customer requirements.

• Facilitate early-stage opportunity development by aligning stakeholders, clarifying workflows, and positioning unique solutions.

• Create and implement repeatable, high-value workflows and use cases across various accounts.

• Serve as the representative voice of the customer.

• Gather and summarize insights from scientific stakeholders to shape commercial strategy, ensure portfolio alignment, and enhance market positioning.

• Report directly to the Director of Market Development as part of the North America Life Science Research commercial team.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or an advanced degree in life sciences (such as cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, oncology, or a related discipline).

• In-depth understanding of biopharma R&D workflows.

• Experience in a biopharma, biotech, or translational research setting.

• Capability to engage credibly with senior scientific stakeholders.

• Proficiency in translating complex scientific concepts into practical applications or strategies that promote adoption or decision-making.

• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.

• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams (both scientific and commercial).

• Analytical and strategic mindset.

• Skill in evaluating opportunities, defining use cases, and contributing to structured pipeline development.

• Willingness to travel overnight 30-40% within the territory and support tradeshows as necessary.

• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
