Manufacturing Programs Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of governance, planning, and execution of manufacturing programs across various sites and production disciplines.

• Create and maintain governance frameworks for manufacturing programs, standardized metrics, and reporting processes.

• Oversee a portfolio of strategic manufacturing initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

• Identify and address risks, maintain RAID logs, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues as necessary.

• Provide executive-level updates on program status, risks, financial performance, benefits, and key decisions.

• Lead and mentor Managers and Associate Managers in Manufacturing Projects.

• Guide cross-functional manufacturing support teams to ensure successful initiative and launch-plan execution.

• Develop and sustain manufacturing infrastructure and capacity plans.

• Supervise the integration of capital equipment, systems, and technologies into manufacturing operations.

• Research and recommend technologies and process enhancements to boost productivity, quality, safety, visibility, and ergonomics.

• Offer engineering insights for Design for Manufacturability and process readiness.

• Direct financial objectives for manufacturing, including CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.

• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance with local regulations and standards.

• Support methodologies for monitoring manufacturing quality issues and providing insights for product and process improvements.

• Partner with cross-functional teams and business technology to enhance visibility into manufacturing process flow and operational KPIs.

• Facilitate structured decision-making for layouts, equipment, processes, and technology choices.

• Implement Lean principles in daily management, deliverables, systems, and processes.

• Support the adoption of new systems, processes, and projects using change management techniques such as ADKAR.

• Assist in bid and proposal processes by providing manufacturing input on capacity, timelines, risks, costs, and technology recommendations.

• Perform additional duties as required and assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field of study.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrialized construction, or a related field.

• Willingness to travel: 0-25%.

• Work schedule is from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

• Knowledge of manufacturing program governance, performance metrics, and reporting standards.

• Experience in managing strategic manufacturing initiatives across multiple plants, product lines, and operational disciplines.

• Proven track record in leading teams and cross-functional manufacturing support teams.

• Familiarity with new product introductions, capacity expansions, line launches, facility readiness, process changes, and strategic manufacturing initiatives.

• Experience integrating capital equipment, systems, technologies, and workflows into manufacturing processes.

• Understanding of Lean principles and change management methods like ADKAR.

• Knowledge of CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.

• Capability to support Design for Manufacturability and process readiness.

• Proficiency in using structured decision-making methods such as Choosing By Advantages.

• Ability to collaborate with Safety, Quality, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, and Business Technology teams.
