Manufacturing Programs Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold governance frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting standards for manufacturing programs across designated portfolios.

• Oversee strategic manufacturing projects spanning multiple plants, product lines, and operational disciplines.

• Identify and address risks, maintain RAID logs, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues as necessary.

• Deliver executive-level reports on program status, risks, financials, benefits, and critical decisions.

• Lead and mentor Managers and Associate Managers tasked with New Product Introductions (NPIs), capacity expansions, new operations, line launches, and process enhancements.

• Guide cross-functional manufacturing support teams to achieve initiative and launch-plan deliverables.

• Create and sustain manufacturing infrastructure and capacity plans that align with sales forecasts and business growth objectives.

• Supervise the integration of capital equipment, systems, and technologies within manufacturing operations.

• Research and suggest technologies and process improvements aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, safety, visibility, and ergonomics.

• Provide engineering insights for Design for Manufacturability and process readiness.

• Manage manufacturing financial goals, which include CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.

• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance with regulations.

• Aid in quality tracking methodologies and enhancements to products/processes.

• Work alongside business technology teams to enhance visibility into process flow and KPIs through dashboards and reporting.

• Facilitate structured decision-making regarding layouts, equipment, processes, and technology choices.

• Promote Lean principles in daily management, deliverables, systems, and processes.

• Encourage the adoption of systems, processes, and projects through change management techniques such as ADKAR.

• Assist in bid and proposal processes by providing manufacturing insights on capacity, timelines, risks, costs, and technology recommendations.

• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrialized construction, or a related field.

• Capability to work between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

• Proficiency in leading and developing manufacturing program and project management teams.

• Familiarity with manufacturing program governance, standardized metrics, reporting processes, capacity planning, and operational readiness.

• Knowledge of new product introductions, capacity expansions, line launches, facility readiness, process modifications, and strategic manufacturing initiatives.

• Understanding of Lean principles and change management techniques, such as ADKAR.

• Ability to manage CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.

• Skill in collaborating across functions with Safety, Quality, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, and Business Technology.

• Ability to support Design for Manufacturability and process readiness initiatives.

• Competence in facilitating structured decision-making using methods like Choosing By Advantages or similar approaches.
