Manufacturing Programs Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold governance frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting standards for manufacturing programs.

• Oversee strategic manufacturing projects across various plants, product lines, and operational sectors.

• Recognize and address program risks, maintain RAID logs, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues as necessary.

• Deliver executive-level updates on program status, risks, financials, benefits, and critical decisions.

• Manage and mentor Managers of Manufacturing Projects and Associate Managers of Manufacturing Projects.

• Lead cross-functional teams spanning Safety, Quality, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, and Business Technology.

• Develop and sustain manufacturing infrastructure and capacity planning.

• Supervise the integration of capital equipment, systems, and technologies into manufacturing operations.

• Research and propose technologies and process enhancements to boost productivity, quality, safety, visibility, and ergonomics.

• Provide engineering insights on Design for Manufacturability and process readiness.

• Manage capital expenditures, cost of goods sold (COGS) drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.

• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure operational readiness and adhere to regulatory compliance.

• Monitor manufacturing quality issues and integrate findings into product and process advancements.

• Enhance visibility into manufacturing workflow and operational KPIs through dashboards and standardized reporting.

• Facilitate structured decision-making for layouts, equipment, processes, and technology choices.

• Implement Lean principles in daily management, deliverables, systems, and processes.

• Support the adoption of new systems, processes, and projects using change management methodologies like ADKAR.

• Assist in bid and proposal processes by providing manufacturing insights on capacity, timelines, risks, costs, and technology recommendations.

• Carry out other related duties as needed and assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field of study.

• A master's degree is preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrialized construction, or a related area.

• A travel requirement of 0-25%.

• Work hours are from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug test.
