This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Establish and uphold governance frameworks for manufacturing programs, along with performance metrics and reporting standards.
• Oversee strategic manufacturing initiatives spanning various plants, product lines, and operational disciplines.
• Identify and address risks, maintain RAID logs, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Deliver executive-level updates on program status, risks, financials, benefits, and key decisions.
• Lead and mentor a team focused on New Product Introductions (NPIs), capacity expansions, new operations, line launches, and process improvements.
• Guide cross-functional support teams in manufacturing, including Safety, Quality, Operations Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Planning & Scheduling, Continuous Improvement, and Business Technology.
• Develop and sustain manufacturing infrastructure and capacity planning.
• Supervise the integration of capital equipment, systems, and technologies within manufacturing operations.
• Investigate and propose technologies and process enhancements to boost productivity, quality, safety, visibility, and ergonomics.
• Offer engineering insights for Design for Manufacturability and process readiness.
• Lead financial objectives in manufacturing, encompassing CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Monitor manufacturing quality concerns and provide insights for product and process enhancements.
• Enhance visibility into manufacturing process flow and operational KPIs through dashboards and standardized reporting.
• Facilitate structured decision-making regarding layouts, equipment, processes, and technology selections.
• Implement Lean principles in daily management, deliverables, systems, and processes.
• Support the adoption of new systems, processes, and projects through change management techniques such as ADKAR.
• Contribute to bids and proposals by providing manufacturing insights on capacity, timelines, risks, costs, and technology recommendations.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field of study.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, industrialized construction, or a related area.
• Travel requirement: 0-25%.
• Work hours are between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is necessary.
• Proven ability to lead and develop Managers and Associate Managers in Manufacturing Projects.
• Familiarity with manufacturing program governance, performance metrics, reporting standards, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
• Experience with new product introductions, capacity expansions, line launches, facility readiness, process modifications, capital equipment, systems, and technologies.
• Understanding of Lean principles and change management methodologies such as ADKAR.
• Experience with CapEx, COGS drivers, ROI strategies, and value delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing and business technology teams.
