This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Architect and design digital products utilizing contemporary tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems.
β’ Design, implement, test, and document software solutions.
β’ Take ownership and manage applications in production to meet product KPIs.
β’ Plan, direct, design, and execute complex and critical IT activities and programs.
β’ Select, lead, mentor, motivate, set expectations for, and evaluate medium to large teams.
β’ Provide guidance to direct reports on administrative policies, risks, issues, problem resolution, sourcing decisions, budget, and priorities.
β’ Lead and engage in knowledge sharing to enhance engineering practices.
β’ Lead, develop, and improve software products.
β’ Design and implement testing strategies to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
β’ Advocate for pair programming and test-driven development methodologies.
β’ Collaborate on system and application design, selecting effective technical solutions.
β’ Facilitate iteration planning, daily standups, cross-site collaboration, product ceremonies, and retrospectives.
β’ Work with digital product teams to communicate technical designs effectively.
β’ Provide technical leadership, guide technology decisions, resolve technical issues, and manage team conflicts.
β’ Establish continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and best practices.
β’ Align strategies across product portfolios with product managers, peers, and stakeholders.
β’ Serve as an expert across various business domains and technology stacks.
β’ Perform supervisory responsibilities.
β’ 7+ years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or related fields.
β’ Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x+.
β’ In-depth knowledge of JVM and application performance architecture/management.
β’ Familiarity with frontend engineering, including ReactJS, AngularJS, and TypeScript.
β’ Understanding of creating responsive, accessible, and data-driven user experiences.
β’ Solid grasp of REST APIs and distributed systems.
β’ Experience in building microservices and event-driven systems; Kafka experience preferred.
β’ Knowledge of cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure, AWS, and on-premises systems.
β’ Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
β’ Familiarity with OpenAPI, JSON, and AVSC schema standards.
β’ Practice of test-driven development (TDD).
β’ Strong understanding of secure development practices.
β’ Comfortable working in a pair-programming (XP) environment.
β’ CI/CD experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
β’ Experience using Datadog or similar tools for application monitoring and troubleshooting.
β’ Working knowledge of Python is desired.
β’ Understanding of MongoDB performance tuning is desired.
β’ Knowledge of leveraging or building generative and agentic AI tooling is desired.
β’ Must pass a background investigation.
