Managing Director, Complex Accounting, Litigation, Insurance Solvency Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Define the strategic vision for the Complex Accounting & Litigation practice.

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members in client assignments and business development.

• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, innovation, and exceptional client service.

• Support internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.

• Oversee and conduct complex investigations that involve regulatory inquiries, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Direct the creation of client deliverables such as reports, presentations, data visualizations, and testimony.

• Act as a senior point of contact for clients.

• Grow the book of business and contribute to the expansion of the practice.

• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

• Build and sustain relationships with law firms, regulators, financial institutions, and corporate clients.

• Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in auditing, CFO, regulatory or standards setting, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, or expert witness services.

• Certified Public Accountant or an equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality client services and the capability to manage and work within a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to simplify complex findings into clear and actionable insights.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

• Proven success in business development and client relationship management.

• Significant experience within the financial services and insurance sectors.

• Prior audit experience is essential.

• Additional relevant certifications such as CFE, CFF, and others are preferred.

• Must be capable of remaining in a stationary position throughout the work shift.
