This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.
β’ Identify, cultivate, and enhance strategic business opportunities for tax-related products, services, and financial solutions.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with tax preparation firms, software providers, industry associations, and strategic partners.
β’ Formulate and implement business development strategies aimed at boosting product adoption, increasing market share, and driving revenue growth.
β’ Recognize, negotiate, and oversee partnership opportunities that align with the company's objectives and profitability goals.
β’ Create, manage, and sustain a pipeline of prospective clients, referral partners, and strategic opportunities.
β’ Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product, Compliance, Marketing, and Executive Leadership on the implementation and management of partnerships.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert in the tax industry, encompassing tax preparation trends, IRS programs, financial products, and competitive dynamics.
β’ Analyze market conditions, customer requirements, industry trends, emerging opportunities, and potential risks.
β’ Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and discussions at the executive level.
β’ Develop business cases and perform financial analyses for strategic initiatives and partnerships.
β’ Monitor competitor activities, new market entrants, and evolving industry regulations.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing on trade shows, conferences, webinars, sponsorships, and customer engagement initiatives.
β’ Work with key accounts to optimize partner satisfaction, retention, and long-term growth.
β’ Assist in contract negotiations and renewal discussions.
β’ Track and report metrics related to revenue growth, partner activity, customer acquisition, and strategic initiatives.
β’ Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and strategic growth objectives.
β’ Maintain knowledge of company products, services, operational processes, and compliance requirements.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
β’ 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales leadership, or a related field, with a significant focus on the tax, fintech, financial services, banking, and/or software sectors.
β’ 5+ years of experience in leading complex strategic partnerships, channel development, enterprise sales, or business growth initiatives with measurable revenue impact.
β’ Strong grasp of the tax preparation ecosystem, including tax software providers, Service Bureaus, IRS programs, refund transfer products, bank products, and related financial services.
β’ Proven success in developing and executing strategic growth plans, market expansion initiatives, and go-to-market strategies.
β’ Experience in conducting financial analysis, developing business cases, negotiating contracts, and engaging in strategic planning activities.
β’ Exceptional presentation, communication, and executive influencing skills with experience presenting to boards, executive leadership teams, and strategic partners.
β’ Ability to thrive under pressure to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
