This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Convert the strategic priorities of Supplemental & Group into implementable plans, workstreams, deliverables, and enablement activities.
• Define the structure, resources, stakeholders, and next steps for broad or unclear strategic directions.
• Set ownership, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics for key initiatives.
• Formulate recommendations and proposed solutions, elevating significant strategic decisions, investments, or trade-offs when necessary.
• Offer leadership visibility into progress, risks, decisions, and business outcomes.
• Oversee multiple intricate initiatives across product, distribution, go-to-market, digital, operations, and integration.
• Collaborate with teams in Product, Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and other areas.
• Represent Worksite Development and Supplemental & Group priorities in cross-functional dialogues.
• Persuade stakeholders and advance progress without direct reporting relationships.
• Manage an initial team of two employees, overseeing performance, development, workload allocation, prioritization, and quality.
• Mentor and develop team members; delegate efficiently and align resources with priorities.
• Generate recommendations using insights from market, customer, distribution, competition, operations, and performance.
• Keep abreast of Supplemental & Group products, distribution channels, operations, and business processes.
• Break down complex business challenges, synthesize information, and formulate clear paths forward.
• Assist in product commercialization, distribution enablement, go-to-market execution, and organizational readiness.
• Ensure that teams and partners have the plans, resources, processes, and information necessary to carry out initiatives.
• Identify dependencies, resource limitations, implementation risks, and operational implications.
• Review implemented solutions and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Establish success metrics and utilize business results to guide recommendations.
• Enhance cross-functional processes and collaboration methods.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Experience in the insurance industry, including exposure to individual Supplemental Insurance, Group Employee Benefits, or both.
• Familiarity with various aspects of the insurance value chain, such as Product, Distribution, Operations, Marketing, Administration, Technology, or Customer Experience.
• Prior experience in people leadership with accountability for employee development, workload management, prioritization, and performance evaluation.
• Proven capability to operate independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• Established ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Demonstrated success in navigating ambiguity, structuring complex business challenges, determining subsequent actions, and adapting as priorities evolve.
• Strong business acumen with the capacity to differentiate between decisions that can be advanced independently and those needing leadership engagement.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the skill to distill complex information into clear recommendations.
• Outstanding written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Experience in product commercialization, distribution enablement, go-to-market execution, or business readiness.
• Familiarity working with agents, brokers, third-party administrators (TPAs), enrollment organizations, or other employee-benefits distribution channels.
• Experience in supporting strategic initiatives within Supplemental, Worksite, Voluntary Benefits, or Group Insurance.
