This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +19 more states.
• Lead a team of Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists in providing return-to-work services for both Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD).
• Supervise forensic employability assessments and conduct occupational analysis.
• Ensure the team meets or surpasses KPIs through effective observation, coaching, and data-driven insights.
• Analyze, monitor, and report team KPIs using Excel to identify trends and communicate performance metrics.
• Promote innovative and effective strategies to assist claimants in their return to work.
• Enhance vocational rehabilitation best practices within the team.
• Guide the team through process and organizational transformations while maintaining results, service quality, and team morale.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Train, mentor, and support new vocational counselors.
• Demonstrate efficient daily utilization of AI tools.
• Engage in or lead unit and cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide vocational subject-matter expertise during sales and customer retention cycles.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard a diverse range of talent.
• A Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation or a related discipline.
• Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) is mandatory.
• Established expertise in the field of vocational rehabilitation.
• Proven leadership experience or a demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals within the disability insurance sector.
• Strong proficiency in KPI reporting and analysis.
• Excellent Excel skills, including knowledge of formulas, graphs, tables, and charts.
• A confident and adaptable approach to change.
• Comfortable with daily use of AI tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional business partners in claims, distribution, product, and other expert resources.
• Experience working with customers ranging from small to national levels in delivering critical services.
• A history of innovation and achieving strong results.
• ADA certification and relevant experience are preferred.
• Prior experience in ADA or RTW case management is preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of leadership experience is preferred.
