Manager, Vendor Programs – Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and oversee the comprehensive project execution for supplemental vendor implementations and enhancements, which includes planning, coordination, testing, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.

• Create and uphold detailed project plans, timelines, and dependencies.

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders in Operations, IT, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing.

• Monitor risks, issues, and develop mitigation strategies.

• Ensure that vendors comply with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements.

• Lead the vendor testing, validation, and approval processes.

• Provide status updates and executive summaries as necessary.

• Maintain ongoing oversight of vendors to guarantee performance, compliance, and service quality.

• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Member Experience teams.

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for designated vendors and implementations.

• Convert operational and regulatory requirements into actionable vendor expectations.

• Assist leadership with insights, risks, and strategic recommendations.

• Ensure the accurate, timely, and disruption-free delivery of supplemental benefits and services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in vendor management, project or program management, and healthcare operations, preferably related to Medicare Advantage or supplemental benefits.

• Thorough understanding of supplemental benefits and vendor ecosystems.

• Strong knowledge of 837 file formats and data exchanges.

• Solid comprehension of regulatory and Part C reporting considerations.

• Preferred experience with SSBCI programs and carded services.

• Prior implementation experience with OTC, transportation, or carded benefits is preferred.

• Familiarity with healthcare data reporting and dashboards.

• PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar project management certification is preferred but not required.

• Ability to manage multiple initiatives with competing priorities.

• Experience in leading cross-functional projects involving external vendors.
