
Manager, Vendor Performance – Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact for designated vendors and key business partners.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with vendor leadership and operational teams.
• Conduct regular business reviews and governance meetings.
• Oversee vendor performance and promote continuous improvement efforts.
• Address operational issues, service-related concerns, and escalations.
• Set and track KPIs, SLAs, and adherence to contractual obligations.
• Evaluate vendor performance data to pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Organize monthly, quarterly, and annual performance evaluations.
• Formulate corrective action plans when performance standards are not achieved.
• Ensure vendors comply with quality, operational, customer service, contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Technology, Clinical, Provider Operations, and business stakeholders.
• Assist in contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Assess invoices and financial performance for cost efficiency and budget adherence.
• Coordinate compliance reviews, audits, operational assessments, remediation strategies, and corrective actions.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with vendors, including operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Supervise business continuity, disaster recovery, privacy, and security protocols.
• Aid in the onboarding of new vendors and services delivered by vendors.
• Organize vendor involvement in strategic initiatives and operational projects.
• Manage vendor-related operational changes and improvements in business processes.
• Create executive dashboards and reports on vendor performance.
• Present vendor performance, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Maintain documentation for vendor management and governance records.
• Support internal committees and oversight forums.
• Offer insights and recommendations to enhance vendor management practices.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, healthcare operations, account management, procurement, business operations, or a related field.
• Medicare Advantage vendor management experience is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and performance metrics.
• Strong background in contract management and negotiation support.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
